JACEK MASLANKIEWICZ

 

Jacek Maslankiewicz, born in Poland, is one of the artists who are dedicated in their belief of the importance of painting and who continuously discover painting’s new possibilities. The rich matter of his works, strengthened by his fascination with colour, alludes to the best traditions of post-war achievements of the Polish Colourists.

The artist covers his canvases with bold brushstrokes and creates astonishing compositions. He draws his inspiration from nature, being bewitched by the charm of the changing landscape. He is inspired by light and colour as well as architecture.

This artist tries to find a deeper meaning in the beauty of the world and makes the beholder aware of it.

 

Awarded by the Minister of Culture and national Heritage with the Honourable Medal of Merit for the Polish Culture.
